Clark Preston McEntire, 70, passed away on Janurary16, 2021 in Springfield, MO. He was born on April 27, 1950 in Tucson, AZ to Carl Rupert McEntire and Mary Elizabeth McEntire (Bailey).

Clark was preceded in death by his mother, his nephew Patrick William Pritchard and mother of his daughter Phyllis Ann McEntire.

Clark was a disabled Vietnam Veteran who served from 1970-1974 in the USAF. Afterwards, he became a high school Industrial Arts teacher who loved to tinker with any and everything. The grandkids would always say “If Papa can’t fix it, nobody can”. Later, he became a bail bondsman while helping a great friend in his gun shop for many years. Several years after moving to Willard, MO to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren, he became an Alderman with the city of Willard and was still in office at his time of death. He had a heart of gold and would do anything to help those people he held close. His grandchildren were his everything each one holding a special place in his heart. Alex, the son he never had. Nick, exactly like Clark and Madison, the light of his eye.

Survivors include his father, Carl McEntire of Coalgate, OK; daughter, Megan and significant other Derrick Berkland of Willard, MO; three grandchildren, Alexander, Nicholas and Madison McEntire of Willard, MO and step-grandson Mason Berkland of Springfield, MO; sister, Teri Gail Pritchard and husband Kevin of College Station, TX, nephew Andrew Pritchard of Tucson, AZ, a whole slew of cousins, along with favorite aunt, Marjorie Crow of Carrollton, TX.

Clark’s family will hold a small celebration of life and burial will be in the Cairo Cemetery located on the family ranch in Coalgate, Oklahoma. Family and friends will be notified of the date.
