Clarence A. Barrett, 76, Conway, passed away September 5, 2005 at the home of his sister.
He was born June 10, 1929 in Phillipsburg, MO. to Thomas Joseph and Sadie (Montgomery) Barrett. Clarence served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and he was a decorated machinist mate aboard USS Henley. Clarence also owned and operated Barrett Diesel Service in Marshfield, Missouri.
Mr. Barrett was preceeded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his son Mike Barrett; his two daughters, Clairene Barrett and Barbara Barrett Jackson; his eight grandchildren; his four great-grandchildren; his sister, Irene Zebel; and his brother, Charlie Barrett.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2005 in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Lebanon, MO. with Fr. John Brath, celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery with full military honors under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut, Springfield, MO.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
