Clara Dunkelberg

Jane Dunkelberg was born August 26th, 1951 and died suddenly but not unexpectedly Saturday August 21st.

Her surviving close family members – husband Jim Coombs, children Alison and Brother Nick Solt, brother David and sister-in-law Roanne, and loving nieces and nephews will miss her outgoingness, friendliness, and determination.

Jane grew up in Beech Grove, Indiana. She met her soulmate Jim at Ball State University in 1972 and they were married in 1976. In her career she worked for insurance companies as a claims examiner. Jane really enjoyed going to concerts, Disney World, the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta. She was very proud of her children’s accomplishments and enjoyed visiting with them and their families in San Francisco and Corpus Christi. She had the gift of gab and always enjoyed chatting with family and friends. Her friends noted her sharing and compassion for events in their lives.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, August 27, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1906 N. Summit Avenue Springfield, Missouri 65803 with Father Ray Smith celebrant.
