Christopher Benson

Christopher R. Benson, age 44, passed on February 22, 2006, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was an avid golfer and experienced equal joy being Papa to his grandson. He was married to Toni, the love of his life, on September 17, 2005 and was never happier than when sharing a walk on the beach with her.

He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife Toni Benson, his parents, LeRoy and Elaine Benson; his sister, Holly Pippas, and her husband, Jim; his step-daughter, Robin Chambers, and her husband, Jeremy; his grandson, Gavin Chambers; many loving friends and family, and his supportive clients and co-workers from US Foodservice.

Visitation is at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut, Springfield, Mo. from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 25 with service beginning at 4 p.m.
