Chester “Ray” Johnson, 74, of Reeds Spring, Missouri departed this life on Saturday, July 12, 2014 in his home. Chester was born in Alton, Missouri on April 13, 1940, to Leonard and Fern Bowerman Johnson. He was a master bladesmith.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Fern, and a granddaughter, Kimberly Johnson.
He is survived by his wife Helen Johnson, of the home. Two sons, Waco Johnson and wife Debbie, West Plains, Missouri and Michael Shawn Johnson. One sister Linda Davis and husband Phil, and by his grandchildren, Jessica Johnson, Brittani Smith and her husband Zac, and Jordan Johnson.
There are no services or visitation planned. Cremation services are under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, Springfield, Missouri.
