Mr. Charles Ray Robb, Jr. 82 of Springfield, passed away at 10:23 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, 2006 in Cox Hospital South.
Charles was born Aug. 2, 1924 in Springfield, Colorado to Charles Ray and Freda M. (Jones) Robb, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry receiving a Purple Heart and two Oak Clusters for injuries received in battle. Mr. Robb was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Rena M. Robb, his brother, Bill, and two sisters, Loretta Morton and Lutitia Spears.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Robb of the home; three children and their spouses, Kathy and Roger Black of Republic, Debra and Steve Manes of Pittsburgh, Penn., Bill and Molly Robb of Springfield; nine grandchildren, Stephanie, John, Matthew and Hannah Black; David, Brian and Jeff Manes; Maddie and Emily Robb.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2006 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel 500 E. Walnut Street with David Maravilla officiating. Burial with military honors by The Veterans' Memorial Team will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
