Charles (Chuck) Lawson, 78, passed away June 19,2024 at home in Springield, MO.
Chuck was born at home in the tiny town of Graff, MO on May 31, 1946 to Andrew & Dove (Boykin).
Chuck attended Mtn. Grove Schools where he met the love of his life and best friend Dorothy (Knox). They were married June 9th, 1966 and he immediately went to the Navy during the Vietnam War where he was stationed on the USS Kitty Hawk Carrier. During his time in the Navy he learned to be an airplane mechanic, and guide pilots on and off the ships runway, and ensured their safety before takeoff.
Chuck then planted his family firmly to Strafford, Missouri where he built a home and was a Supervisor for Associated Wholesale Grocers for 27 years.
Chuck loved his wife and took care of her in all ways. They celebrated 58 happy years this June. He loved deeply ALL of his family and enjoyed visiting with them, playing music or cards, telling jokes, fishing (fishing tales), and stories of his life. He never forgot a name or a person and was loved and respected by all.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, his brothers: Harold, Gerald, Huey, & Ben and his sisters: Charlene, Velma, Ila, Nita & Linda.
He surivived by his wife Dorothy, his son David Lawson & Carol (Pavitt), his daughter Tina Mottl & Dan, his grandchildren, Quinn, Noah, and Zen, D.J. Mottl & Shauna (Smith), Olivia Mottl, & great grandaughter Isabella Mottl, and a brother Tom & Maggie Lawson of Bryan, Ohio, and a large extended host of neices, nephews, cousins, and friends.
