Charles J. Gallagher, Sr. 88, Springfield, formerly of San Francisco, Calif. passed away at 11:32 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2005 in St. John's Hospital.
Charles was born Dec. 17, 1916 in San Francisco, Calif. to Charles J. and Catherine (Ahern) Gallagher. Mr. Gallagher served in the US Army and Navy during WWII. He was a police office for the city of San Francisco.
He is survived by his four sons, Bob Gallagher of Cabool, Mike Gallagher of Stillwater, Okla., Chuck Gallagher of Cabool and Tim Gallagher of Battlefield; and four grandchildren, Eric, Joel, Kristin and Renie Gallagher.
Funeral mass will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2005 in St. Agnes Chapel with Fr. Marek Bozek celebrant under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma, California.
Visitation will be on hour prior to service time in the church.
