Charity Mae Grant

Charity Mae Grant was born to the union of Minnie Grant and Andrew Grant on July 18, 1929, in New Madrid, Missouri. Charity later moved to Springfield, Missouri in the early sixties.

 Charity confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized. Charity worked many years for Cox Hospital until retirement. She was a faithful member at Timmons Temple Church of God In Christ.

 Charity was a very spiritual person that loved her family and helping others. She also loved to cook. She always helped others if she could.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; three sisters; four sons, Walter, Odell, Timothy, and Nickey; two daughters, Loretta and Doris; and one granddaughter, Amy.

 She leaves to mourn in passing two sons, Charles Heard and Tony Grant; nieces and nephews; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and in-laws, Beverly Yancy, Jackie Horne, and Dorothy Wells, all of Kansas City, and Emma Jean Thompson of Texas.

Visitation will begin at 11 am Friday, February 21, 2025 at Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut Street with funeral service to begin at 12 pm with Apostle Larry G. Maddox, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Springfield.
