Carolyn Brock

Carolyn Sue (Schmidtlein) Brock, 69, a life long resident of Springfield, passed away at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2006 in her home.

She was born April 11, 1937 in Springfield, Missouri to Matthew A. and Anna Christine (Fassnight) Schmidtlein.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Jack; one daughter, Jennifer; and two grandchildren, Charity and Matthew.

Carolyn is survived by her three daughters, Anna Marie VanBuskirk, Paula Ahearn, and Dena Berthelette; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her sister, Betty Schmidtlein-Savage.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2006 in St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Denis Dougherty, O.S.B. celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut.

Visitation will be from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home with Rosary service starting at 3 p.m.
