Carol Horning Sandstrom

Carol, 58, passed away on Thursday July 26, 2007 after a long illness. She was born January 2, 1949 in Springfield, MO. Carol graduated from Hillcrest High School. She received her nurse's aide certificate at St. John's Hospital and then worked in that field several years caring for others until she became ill.

She was the beloved "baby" sister of Marcy Bunch of Bensenville, IL, Anne Marie Johnston of Dallas, TX and Edith Williams of Morehead City, NC. She loved arts and crafts, music (especially the Beatles) and going to the movies. Due to illness life was a struggle for her and now she is at peace with the Lord whom she loved.

Carol is preceded in death by both parents. Besides her three sisters she is survived by two brother-in-laws, Gary Bunch and James Johnston, five nieces and four nephews.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday August 20, 2007 in St. Mary's Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri. Online condolences can be made at www.hhlohmeyer.com.
