Mr. Carl E. "Smokey" Folsom, 81, Springfield passed away at 3:30 p.m. Monday Jan. 31, 2005 in his home.
Carl was born March 25, 1923 in Springfield, Mo. to George W. & Iva (Carroll) Folsom. He served as a Cpl. in the Southwest Pacific during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Helen Louise Folsom; his brothers, George, John, Bob and Virgil; and his sister Vivian.
He is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside services with military honors by the Veterans' Memorial Team will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2005 in Clear Creek Cemetery under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut.
Visitation will be from 6 pm to 7 pm Thursday in the funeral home.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospices of America 1465 E. Primrose Springfield, MO 65804.
