Carl Bowden, age 26 , passed away in Springfield Missouri on Sunday, September 23, 2018.
Carl was born in Springfield, Missouri on Septemeber 22, 1992.
Carl graduated Central High School in 2011 and joined the Army. He did his basic training in Fort Leonard Wood, completed AIT in Fort Sill, and then was deployed to South Korea. He was a Forward Observer and was often on the front lines. After South Korea he was sent to Fort Drum for a year and then was deployed to Afghanistan for a year, then Qatar. After his deployment he went home and was immediately sent into Ferguson, Missouri to help with the riots and keep the peace there. He joined the National Guard and continued to serve his country until his untimely passing.
Carl had a love for life. He loved the look of woodworking, the more antique and intricate the better. He often looked for beautiful wood pieces at antique stores and flea markets. He had an eye for detail. He spent hours making maps and pieces for board games, mainly Dungeons and Dragons. There was so many small details that he prided himself on getting just right. He also had an unwavering love for his dog, Thor, who is 13 years old, and for his Bronco truck.
Carl is survived by his loving parents, Robert and Laca Densmore, his siblings; , TImberlie, Timothy, Trent, and Angel and Tiffany, his grandma and grandpa Wallace, his aunt Linda, uncle Lance and Loren, and many many loving family and friends.
There will be a memorial service with full military honors on September 28, 2018 at 3:00 pm, located at Missouri Veteran's Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Road, Springfield, Missouri.
