C.H. “Mac” McAfoos, 87 of Fordland, Mo. passed away Thursday Feb. 12, 2015 in Mercy Hospital.
Mac was born Nov. 5, 1927 in Rexford, Kansas to Charles Austin and Clara Estelle (Hoffman) McAfoos. He served in the US Marine Corp where he attained the rank of Staff Sargent. Mac worked for Bell Telephone for 36 years and after retirement he volunteered for Habitat for Humanity in which he help build six complete homes. He loved fishing, hiking, the outdoors and enjoyed watching birds and wildlife.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Katherine Ann.
Mac is survived by his wife, Mary Brusven McAfoos; his children, Jeanne Kay Albertucci (Mario), Michael Lewis McAfoos (Amy) and Donald Scott McAfoos, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and his sister Ethel Marie Anderson.
Memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday Feb. 16, 2015 in Wesley United Methodist Church with Pastor Scott Bailey-Kirk officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time Monday in the church.
Committal services with military honors will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday Feb. 17, 2015 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
