Buddy Stoops

Buddy Keith Stoops, 69 years of age, passed away on December 19, 2020, in Springfield, MO.

He was born on May 5, 1951, in Kansas City, MO, to Norma Louise (Terhune) and Buddy Bruce Stoops.

Buddy was preceded in death by his father Buddy Bruce, his stepfather Joseph, his brother Gary and his brother Roger Glenn.

He is survived by his mother Norma, his son Zachary and his wife, Brandy; his daughter Rebecca and her husband Josh, and his daughter Amanda; his grandchildren Brianna, Caitlin, Zane, and Isabella; his sisters Debbie and Toni, and his brothers Mark and Steve.

Graduate of Morrisville High School, Buddy served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was an avid music lover, gamer, and car enthusiast. He loved sharing hobbies with his children, traveling and telling stories of his adventures. He was an intensely loving and proud father.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home: 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield, Missouri 65806. Inurnment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, with full Military Honors.

His care and arrangements have been entrusted to Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, Springfield, MO.
