Bob was born July 18, 1936 to Bill and Alice Snyder in Galloway, MO and was the youngest of 9 children.
At the age of 14, Bob started working with his step dad, John Drake, building houses. Three years later he learned to make donuts at the Spud Nut Shop that his mother and step father bought and operated on the Plaza from 1953 - 1955. Bob then met Jerry Becker while working at the Dixie Cream on Campbell.
Needing more money to get married he joined the Local Bakers Union 235 and went to work at Supreme Donut on College Street. Bob and Jerry were married on March 4, 1956. Bob was hired by The Colonial Baking Co. July 8, 1957 where he retired after 31 years.
Even though fishing was his passion, he was even more proud of his family and loved them all so very much.
Preceding Bob's death was an infant brother, Frank Snyder; his father, Bill Snyder; his mother, Alice, and step-father John Drake; sisters, Ruby Boles, Doris Hensley, Lydia Letch, and Lillian Putman.
Bob left behind his one true love, a wife of 52 years; a daughter, Karen and son-in-law Roy Lacy; son, Tony and daughter-in-law Paula Snyder; two grandchildren, Landon and Bailey Snyder; brother-in-law, Kenny Becker and his wife Becky; brother, Bill Snyder; and his two sisters, Della Wagoner and Juanita Boles.
There are no words to express what we have lost. The memory and love for this fine man will never be forgotten. And so one day we will all meet again on the sunny banks of the Jordan.
On November 26, 2008, Bob was surrounded by his loving family as he found peace meeting his heavenly Father.
