Blanca Baize

Blanca Dominga Baize, 45, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Saturday, June 23rd, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas.

Blanca was born August 9th, 1972 to Jackie and Susie (Sanders) Acton in Springfield, Missouri.

Blanca was a native of the Southwest Missouri area. She lived in Springfield and Willard most of her life. She graduated from Willard High School in 1991 and went on to attend Southwest Missouri State University.

Blanca married Thomas Ray Baize while he was serving as an Army Chaplain at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri on January 31, 2004. They transitioned to the Air Force Chaplain Corp on August 5th, 2005. Being a military spouse and a pastor’s wife was Blanca’s passion for her 14-year marriage. Blanca served beside her husband in Missouri, Texas, North Carolina, Okinawa Japan and back to Texas. Their focus was to enjoy family and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ at each location.

Many thousands of people were impacted by her ministry and she was dearly loved by those she served. Blanca devoted her life to ministry and the impact it has on people’s lives. She was a member of the Church of God, Protestant Women of the Chapel, Exchanged Life Ministries and more. Blanca was a worship media technician and loved contemporary Christian worship. In addition to the music and video, she had the sometimes challenging task of keeping her pastor husband in sync with everything going on the screen during the sermon.

There is nothing in this world that Blanca loved more than her family. Her kids and her grandkids brought so much joy in her life. She treasured every moment with them. Traveling, vacationing, and all the sports and activities kids love were something she gave them.

One of Blanca's favorite memories was traveling to Belize with her father. She often spoke of the gorgeous beaches and scenery. Blanca honeymooned with her Tom in the Bahamas. Her favorite military assignment was spending three years in Okinawa, Japan with it’s gorgeous beaches. She always looked forward to going to the beach.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jackie Acton, her uncle, Johnnie Sanders, and all of her grandparents.

Blanca is survived by her loving spouse Chaplain, Major Thomas Ray Baize USAF, her six beautiful children: Jessica (Anthony) Andies, Daniel (Sophia) Baize, Timothy (Nekia) Baize, Thomas James Baize, John Peter Baize, and Sarah Elizabeth Baize, her loving mother, Susie Acton, her aunt, Janice Sanders, her loving grandchild, Kaitlyn Andies, a new grandchild just announced, her siblings, Michael (Lori) Acton, and Angela (Slade) Mathews. A niece, Capri Sanders came to live with us a year ago and cared for the kids and Blanca. Blanca has many extended friends and family.
