Mr. Billy M. Crisman, 82 of Springfield passed away at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2009 in Springfield Skilled Care Center.
Billy was born May 16, 1926 in Brunswick, Missouri to Morey and Beulah (Knight) Crisman. He was a proud employee of Leeway Motor Freight retiring after 25 years of service. Bill was a former member of the Shriner's Marching Patrol. He was a longtime member of St. Agnes Cathedral.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Edith Mahoney (Crisman) and his brother, Everett Crisman.
He is survived by his wife, Jessie Crisman of the home; his sister, Rose Mary Woodward of Columbia, his sons, Billy Jr. and his wife Becky, and Randy Crisman; his daughters, Vicky Elliott and her husband, Jeff, Teresa Johnson and her husband, Randy; his stepsons, Joe Lewis and his wife, Cary of Seymour, John Lewis of Springfield,; his stepdaughters, Sharon Davis and her husband, Charlie of Mansfield, Linda Cravens of Springfield, Sandra Stewart of Springfield, Donna Green and her husband, Max of Mansfield, Janette Wilson and her husband, Jim of Lebanon; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
Funeral mass will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2009 in St. Agnes Cathedral with Msgr. Thomas Reidy and Fr. Mike McDevitt celebrants. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery under ther care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until service time Thursday in the church.
