Billy L. Brown, 85, Springfield, MO, passed away November 26, 2015 in Mercy Villa, Springfield.
He was born March 28, 1930 in Wilsey, KS, to the union of Bill and Mona Lee Hight. Billy was later adopted by Earl Brown with the marriage of his mother. Billy was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, serving 20 years, and retiring with the rank of Senior Chief. Billy was married to Martha L. Hill, and celebrated 59 years of marriage.
Billy is survived by his wife, Martha Brown; three daughters, Deborah (Joe) Koons, Dana (Dale) Wrenn, and Amanda (Terry) Donelson; grandchildren, Ryan (Evelyn) Wells, Whitney (James) Alfrey, Ahfton (Josh) Rupe, Kiley (Rodney) Scroggins, Tyler Donelson, Lindsey Donelson, Marah Koons, and Amy Donelson; great grandchildren, Zoe Wells, Ava Alfrey, Finnlee Rupe, and Elise Alfrey.
Billy is of the Lutheran Synod Faith.
A memorial with military rites burial will be April 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO.
