Benjamin D. Griffin passed away on March 1st, 2022, in Highlandville, Missouri.

He was born November 19th, 1986, in Fort Myers, Florida to Sarah Cunningham Gibson and Bruce D. Griffin. He attended Parkview High School, class of 2005. After school he worked as a tree trimmer for City Utilities of Springfield and began his own landscaping and handyman business.

While in his 20’s, Ben studied at Vatterott College and earned his Commercial Driver’s License. He was employed by Bennett Truck Transport National, where he drove and delivered tractor trailers and heavy equipment all over the country from New York to California. He was able to visit almost every state of the country and come home to tell us about his adventures.

After his driving career, Ben resumed his landscaping and handyman business where he was in high demand, making many good friends. He liked people and said he enjoyed helping them with various projects. In his free time, he was taking Diesel Mechanic classes at Ozark Technical Community College.

In 2021, Ben obtained his real estate license and began working for a local real estate company.

Throughout his life Ben had many interests and hobbies. In his teens he enjoyed photography. Later he began working on his own cars, playing the stock market, and collecting coins and art. He also enjoyed gardening and reading. He invested in Cryptocurrency and was a very smart, self-reliant, kind person. He will be deeply missed by all of us who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Patricia Ann Cunningham and grandfather, John E. Cunningham.

He is survived by his mother, Sarah Cunningham Gibson; uncles, John, Patrick, and Christopher Cunningham; his great uncle Phillip Cunningham and wife Gail; his second cousins, Martin and Thomas Cunningham and Jason Hartman. He also had the loving extended family of Ray and Nancy Gibson.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 12, 2022, under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home: 500 E. Walnut Street Springfield, Missouri 65806.
