Basil Allen

Basil “Paul” Allen passed away March 22, 2013 at his home after a long illness. Paul was born in Lebanon, MO on July 9th, 1949 to Nadine and Robert Allen. After graduating High School, Paul enlisted in the Army during the Vietnam War. After discharge, he moved to the Springfield area. Paul had several occupations in his lifetime, the most recent working in construction and being an over the road truck driver. He was an avid golfer and loved fishing. He also loved pulling pranks and practical jokes and had a wonderful sense of humor. Paul is survived by his wife Margie, one brother Sam of Springfield MO, 3 daughters; Cindy Tate of Willard, Terri Crawley also of Willard, Kathy Cook of Columbia, 1 son, Robert “Bobby” Allen of Sacramento CA, and 12 grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery on Wednesday, March 27th at 2:00 p.m.
