Barbara Sterline Campmier Wright

Barbara Sterline Campmier Wright, 87, born in Carthage, Missouri July 29, 1934 to Clyde and Cleo Slinkard. She passed away August 16, 2021 at Republic Nursing Home.

Barbara graduated from Carthage High School. She worked as a church secretary, at Edco Microfilming and Hogan Land Title Company. Barbara was an active member of Hamlin Memorial Baptist Church and served many roles there over the years.

She married Chester Campmier on July 9, 1952 and they raised three children. Barbara was united in marriage to Willard Kent Wright on September 15, 2001.

Preceding her in death was her first her first husband Chester; second husband Kent, sister Alice, and her parents Clyde and Cleo.

Survivors include three children Sharon Kersten and her husband Warner of Springfield, Barry and his wife Rita of East Rockaway, New York, and Blair and his wife Marin of Columbia, Missouri; Kent's children Carol and Frank Kennison of Nixa and Willard and Ellen Wright of Springfield; nine grandchildren Daniel (Tara) Kersten, Angela (Mike) Jackson, Konrad (Chelsea) Kersten, David (Briann) Campmier, Haydn (Kaylee McCune) Campmier, Sophie (Spencer) Thompson, Mark Campmier, Kesta (Dwayne) Smith and Mike Kennison, six great grandchildren, many friends and relatives.

Memorial visitation will be from 1 pm to 2 pm Friday August 20, 2021 with service to begin at 2 pm in Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel 500 E. Walnut Street with Rev. Calvin Maberry officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be sent to Hamlin Memorial Baptist Church 1942 W. Farm Road 102 Springfield, MO 65803.
