Barbara Tuttle

Barbara J. Tuttle, age 69, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at her home in Springfield, Missouri. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Bob Tuttle; daughter, Deborah Baldwin and husband Robert of Springfield, Missouri; son, Robert Tuttle, III of Springfield; two grandsons, Zachary Wright, and Joshua Wright of Bentonville, Arkansas; and one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Baldwin of Springfield.

Barbara Tuttle was born December 28, 1948, in Tyler, Texas, to Orville L. “Jack” and Gladys (Sawyer) Hill. She married Robert L. “Bob” Tuttle, Jr. on May 7, 1970, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Barbara, a professional vocalist at the time, and her husband, Bob, also a musician, moved back to Texas where they performed on stage together for many years. Barbara raised her two children, while continuing to support her husband, Bob, in his musical career. Eventually, Barbara joined an acapella ladies gospel trio through her church in San Angelo, Texas, where she sang for several years. As the years passed for Barbara, though music was a large part of her life, spending time with friends and family was her main joy in life. She had a fun-loving attitude and a wonderful sense of humor which made her a pleasure to be around.

Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Barbara are invited to her Funeral Service at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut St., Springfield, Missouri at 8:30 A.M. Friday, September 7, 2018.

She will be laid to rest at a later date in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
