Barbara Beck

Barbara Ellen (Harwell) Beck, 80, Springfield passed away Sunday January 8, 2012 in Magnolia Square.

She was born September 2, 1931 in Charleston, Mo to Daniel and Myrtle (Vaughan) Harwell.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norvell Spurlin Beck; and her brothers, Daniel Lee Harwell and Buddy Joe Harwell.

She is survived by her children, Charles Beck, Jason Beck, and Robyne Shreck; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

Barbara was a loving mother and friend. Her children were the wind beneath her wings.

A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday January 21, 2012 in St. Agnes Cathedral. No visitation is planned.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes Elementary School, 533 S. Jefferson, Springfield, MO 65806.
