Austin E. Payne, Jr. 75 of Springfield passed away at 7:20 a.m. Saturday Dec. 27, 2008 in Christian Healthcare West.
Austin was born May 30, 1933 in Springfield, Missouri to Austin E. and Edna Marie (Leitwein) Payne, Sr. He served in the US Air Force for many years.
Survivors include his children, Dawn (Marlin) Dill of Springfield, MO, Angie (Bill) Lang of Fairhope, AL, Pam (Butch) Buchanan of Crestview FL, Tamie Gail Payne of Crestview, FL, Tina (Steve) Lawson of Baker, FL, Patty (Shon) Kennedy of Crestview, FL. Jeffery (Lydia) Payne of San Diego, CA; his grandchildren: Renee and Jennifer Payne, Samantha Dill, Chris (Leslie) Lang, Alicia (Jonathan) Lassiter, Daniel Buchanan, Miranda (Jonathan) McLeod, Amanda (Brandon) Odom, Falin & Darin Lawson, Bryce Kennedy; great grandchildren: Lillie & Lilah Grace Lassiter, Jaxon & Brylee McLeod.
A memorial graveside service with military honors by the National Guard BRAVO team will be held at 12:30 p.m. Staurday January 3, 2009 in Resurrection Cemetery in Springfield, MO under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Online condolences can be shared at www.hhlohmeyer.com.
