Arlene Watne

Arlene Maybelle (née Severson) Watne, 92, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 4, 2023, of natural causes.

Arlene was born April 2, 1931, in Bellingham, Washington, to Charles Severson and Hazel (née Sorenson) Severson. She married her beloved Omer L. Watne on March 7, 1952, in San Diego, California, where he was stationed.
Because Arlene was very intelligent, she was promoted two grades ahead during her schooling. She enjoyed keeping up with world events as well as learning current discoveries in health and history. She was affiliated with the Assembly of God and Pentecostal Churches.

Survivors include her son Leonard Watne (Christine) of Florida; daughters Janet Dudley and Janene Dixon (Randy) of Washington; daughter-in-law Elva of Washington; twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister Bonnie Grace Day of Missouri; niece Sally McGillivray; nephews Stanley Severson, Steven Severson, and Joshua Ryan. Arlene was preceded in death by her son Leo Watne (2021), her Brother Richard Severson (2010), and her husband Omer Watne (2005).

Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Arlene will be placed next to her beloved Marine Sergeant husband, Omer, in the Tahoma National Cemetery in Washington.
