Arleen M. Kurre, 81, Springfield, Mo., passed away at 2:45 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2007 in The Manor at Elfindale.
Arleen was born August 14, 1925, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Frank and Margaret (Keilholz) Mink. She taught in St. Mary's School in Richmond, Indiana, and was the first female principal in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. She was married to Robert B. Kurre in August of 1947. They became the parents of four children.
Arleen is survived by her husband, Robert; her children, Donald and Imogene Kurre, North Platte, Nebraska, Kathleen Kurre, Atlanta, Georgia, Charles Kurre, Phoenix, Arizona, Eric and Victoria Kurre, Springfield, Missouri; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church Chapel with Monsignor Thomas Reidy, celebrant under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Visitation will be before the service from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
