After a long and healthy life, Ann F. (Hulahan) Cashel passed away on April 20, 2023, and was reunited with her loved ones who passed before her.
She attended Rosati Kain high school in St. Louis, MO. Following graduation, Ann and Vern Cashel were married on November 27, 1947, at St. Edward’s parish in St. Louis, MO. Before Vern’s passing, Ann and Vern celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary. Ann’s affinity for art inspired her to create a welcoming and beautiful home that she and Vern opened to all who came to their door. Ann cherished her time working at Pat’s Hallmark and Chic’ Addition.
The highlight of Ann’s life was her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. She followed her grandchildren in their sports and cherished every moment. She often stated, “I have learned so much from all of them.” Her other love was her dogs. Ann dedicated her life, along with Vern, to helping others by volunteering with parish work, RSVP, and Hospice.
Ann was born to Edward and Frances Hulahan on February 11, 1928. Her only sibling, Mary, preceded her in death in 2009.
Ann is survived by her children Mike (Eraina) Cashel, Dan (Marti) Cashel, Therese (Larry) Miller, Eileen (Shelby) Hampton and JoAnne (Scott) Bailes. Ann delighted in her grandchildren, Matt Cashel, Chelsey Cashel, Malorie (Jon) Marrs, Becca (Kevin) Hogg, Scott (Sarah) Miller, Kevin (Sarah) Miller, Aiden Hampton, Alli (Luke) Miller, Tara (Nathan) Saxby, Mandy Bailes. She treasured her nine great-grandchildren, Carson, Austin, Kate, Emma, Jonah, Margaret, Declan, Maren, and Leoni.
