Ana Elisa Díaz Bonilla (1945-2024)

Ana “Annie” Elisa Díaz Bonilla passed away peacefully on December 20th, 2024, at home in Springfield, Missouri. She was 79 years of age when she passed.

She was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on February 25th, 1945, to Agripina Bonilla and Gerardo Díaz. She lived most of her life in Arecibo, Puerto Rico but spent the final years of her life in Springfield, Missouri living with her daughter. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and homemaker. All who knew her were aware of her love of dancing spontaneously, singing to music, and attending church.

She is survived by her husband, Julio, her four children, Rosalía, Mabel, Tito, and María, her eight grandchildren, and her two great-grandchildren. She is remembered warmly by her family and is dearly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm Friday, December 27, 2024 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street in Springfield, Missouri. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Springfield.
