"Allen Eugene Lee, born to Diana Sue Bellamy and Jerry Alfred Lee on April 10, 1973, left this life and earthly duties on June 7, 2016. He is proceeded in death by his loving Mom, Diana who he missed dearly. He left behind a sister, Jerrie and two brothers, Jessie and Johnny, Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and too many cousins to mention each by name and some very special close friends who all loved him. Allen's siblings have fond and "onery" memories of growing up with him. These include sneaking cigarettes, wrestling with each other, all their many pets growing up and eating their Mama's goulash (almost weekly because she made it by the gallons.) Allen did not have the opportunity to enjoy what many of us take for granted in this life. He loved the simple things, he loved to eat and he called himself a human "garbage disposal." He also loved the color red, he loved wearing red and the Kansas City Chiefs. He enjoyed taking walks and he loved dogs and animals. He also liked to look nice and have nice hair for the ladies. Allen lived a life that many would call "rough." He did not make wise choices when he was young; his path started out dark and he traveled down some long, lonely roads. As God worked and prayers were going up, this broken road led him back to Springfield with his family who loved him unconditionally. Allen started to attend King's Way Free Will Baptist Church and shortly after, gave his heart and life to Jesus Christ and decided he wanted to be baptized to show his new walk. His church family grew to love him as well and everyone who met him, young and elderly alike was changed forever for the better. He had such an impact on every heart. Behind his tough exterior, was a gentle, polite, generous and caring man. He wanted what most of us want: a home, a job, a family and a place to call his own. He tried so hard and he tried to fight a good fight. His struggles and fighting are over now; he is free and resting in the arms of a Loving Savior in a Forever Home. In Lieu of flowers, the family ask to prayerfully consider a donation to the local NAMI chapter, so others can continue to be educated on the importance of mental health in our community. Allen's home going services will be held at King's Way Free Will Baptist Church, located at 2615 North Park on Wednesday evening, June 15th at 7:00 p.m. in Springfield, MO with Reverend Randy Hicks officiating. The Lord's Prayer
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
