Allen Grable

Allen L. Grable, 50, passed away on June 17, 2009 in Springfield, Mo.

Allen was proud of his time served in the Army, most of which was in Germany. After his service time, Allen became a contractor in the flooring business and worked in Texas and Missouri for most of his life ending up in Springfield, Mo. for the past 15 years.

Allen was born April 6, 1959 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Allen was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Caldwell Grable in 1990.

Allen was very independent in the way he lived his life. He lived for the present and enjoyed every moment of it. Allen's most unique quality was his "huge" heart. He never met anyone who was a stranger and was always willing to help out someone in need. He will be greatly missed by his family and close friends.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Wesley and Shirley Grable of St. Joseph, Mo.; his sisters, Linda Perry, and her husband Larry of Bryan, Texas, Gail Stafford of Bryan, Texas; his brothers, Kenny Bussell, and wife Brooke, and brother, David Bussell, and his wife Ruth Ann all of Springfield, Missouri; his step-sisters, Jocella Roady of Gower, Missouri and Robin Vanmeter of Alhambra, California; and numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends.

Memorial graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday June 22, 2009 in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
