Alice Busen

Alice Margaret Busen, 81, Springfield passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2006 in her home.

She was born on October 28, 1924 in Albany, New York to Clarence and Alice Marie (Farrell) Hill. She married Robert Busen on March 10, 1945 in New York. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. She enjoyed biking, traveling the U.S. in their R.V. with Robert, sailboating on "The Screaming Alice" and Sunday time on the lake with her family and friends at "The Dock" on Table Rock. Baking apple pies and cooking spaghetti for her grandchildren were always important to her. Last but not least she was a very classy lady.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Robert, Jr. Alice is survived by her children, Linda Correll and her husband, Rick, Springfield, Kathy Busen, Nixa and Michael Busen and his wife, Jennifer; Kimberling City and her 3 perfect grandchildren, Jeffery and Melissa Correll and Bryce Busen.

Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2006 in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church with Monsignor Thomas Reidy celebrant. Inurnment will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Memorial visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut.
