Christine Marie “Tena” Baron 65, Springfield, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, August 11, 2016 in Springfield, Missouri. She was born March 5, 1951, in Springfield, Missouri to Paul and Marion “Bess” Baron. Tena was a lifelong resident and lifelong member of Springfield and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was active with the Developmental Center of the Ozarks, Special Olympics, belonged to a bowling league and The Arc of the Ozarks. Tena had a happy spirit and was a joy to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Mary Ann Kutz and brother in law Charles L. Howard.
Survivors include her brothers and sister Paula Howard, Marty Baron and wife Sandy, Springfield, Mo; David Baron and wife Barbara, Las Cruces, NM, Xavier Baron, Milwaukee, Wis, Richard Baron and wife Shelley, Seattle, Wa, Brother in Law Jerome Kutz, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2016, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1115 N. Campbell, Springfield, with Fr. Denis Dougherty O.S. B. celebrant. Burial will be in Marshfield City Cemetery under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Arc of the Ozarks at www.thearcoftheozarks.org.
