Obituary for Nilo Mario Batista

Nilo Mario Batista
Born in Panama City, Panama, May 12, 1955. The fourth of seven children born to Virginia and Nilo Batista. As a boy he was sweet and full of mischief. Very curious always active, a great sportsman. He played soccer, he was in track.
So good at it he came in second in a regional race.
He fell in love with the Ocean as soon as he could walk. He was a great surfer and won several championships in Acapulco, Mexico.
The sea was his world, an accomplished diver, swimmer and sailor. He liked girls and they liked him, he married twice. His first wife was from Spain he lived in her country for three years theyhad a son Pablo. He later divorced and came to America. His son stayed behind. He lived in Panama, Mexico, Spain and the U.S.A. Seventeen years ago he married his current wife. He has another son, Jonathan. He sailed the seven seas and had countless adventures.
He was an excellent brother always caring and supportive.
He had great work ethic, everyone liked and appreciated him. At his last job that was very apparent, he loved his coworkers and his coworkers loved him.
Nilo was a sensitive human being, he loved animals especially cats, he has three of them. He was funny loved to joke and tell stories of his adventures, we will all miss him. And see his great beautiful smile when we remember him.
Memorial services will be at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018, in Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel, 500 East Walnut Street, Springfield, Missouri.
