Obituary for Raquel Renee "Rocky" Montgomery
Raquel R. Montgomery “Rocky” age 29, of Springfield, Missouri passed away at 10:00 p.m. on February 13, 2018 in Mercy Hospital.
Raquel was born on July 2, 1988 in Springfield, Missouri to William R. Vernor, Sr. and Margaret A. Montgomery.
To those who knew Rocky knew that she held a heart of gold that carried love, care, and lots of passion to those around her. She was a very energetic person who lived life to the fullest. Rocky loved her music and being around family and friends.
On February 13, 2018 many lives were changed for Rocky’s family and friends. Rocky you will be deeply loved and missed. The image that you have left behind with that funny sense of humor and beautiful smile will always set upon us.
Raquel was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Dorothy Vernor, Charlie and Opal Kidd; two uncles, Harry T. Vernor, Kenneth W. Vernor; one aunt, Mildred Word; and her brother, Lucky E. Montgomery.
Rocky is survived by her parents, William R. Vernor, Sr. (Carol Malone) and Margaret A. Montgomery; siblings, Jackie Courtney, Irene Montgomery, William Vernon, Jr., Charles Johnson; Son, Man-Man; girlfriend, Delisia Johnson; lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, four nieces, six nieces, two great nieces, and lots of friends.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018, in Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel, 500 East Walnut Street, Springfield, Missouri.
