Obituary for James Edwin "Jim" Mace

James Edwin "Jim"  Mace
James "Jim" Edwin Mace age, 87 passed away November 14, 2017 at Jordan Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Jim was born August 7, 1930 in Springfield, MO., the son of Fred W. Mace and Elizabeth (Davidson) Mace.

Jim worked as a very dedicated funeral director most of his life at several Springfield area funeral homes. He was a Shriner member and very active for several years. Jim served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Jim and his wife Marilyn enjoyed traveling, dancing and spending time with family and friends. Jim’s most favorite thing to do was spending time with his grandson, Shane, and telling him positive uplifting American Indian stories, mostly ones he dreamed up as he went along.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Betty; his wife, Marilyn Mace; and his daughter, Karen Nease.

Jim is survived by his son, Kirk Nease of Republic, MO.; his grandson, Shane Scott Nease and his wife Brianna Colbrunn; his great grandsons, Ryker and Connor all of Colorado Springs, CO., and many other family and friends.

Graveside Services will be held at 9:00 am, Monday, November 20, 2017 at Missouri Veteran's Cemetery, 5201 South Southwood, Springfield, MO. where Full Military Honors will be rendered.
