Obituary for William Kenneth Morgan

William Kenneth  Morgan
William Kenneth Morgan, Sr., son of V.H. and Betty Bilyeu Morgan, was born on December 24, 1946 in Springfield, Missouri. He departed life on October 16, 2017 at 7:15 am in his home of 43 years at the age of 70.

On September 30, 1966, he was united in marriage to Gayle Celia Robinson, and to this union two daughters and one son were born.

Mr. Bill was dedicated to providing for his family and worked in the profession that he loved, as a baker, for over 40 years.

Kenny loved metal detecting and hunting for civil war era coins, bullets, buttons, etc…. He also enjoyed taking his family on trips to historical places, fishing on the lake in his bass boat, camping, and family vacations.

William was preceded in death by his parents, V.H. and Betty Morgan.

He is survived by his wife, Gayle Morgan and children Cindy Harms and her husband Mike, Robin Hildebrand and her husband Collins, and Bill Morgan, Jr. and his wife Tina. He is also survived by his grandchildren Lance and Alyssa Quick, Julia and Patrick Wear, Dakotah Quick and Fiancé Shawn Ledford, Tabytha Harms, Zach Hildebrand, Jared and Bethany Hammel, Casey Carpenter, Kaylanna Hammel, Tricity Morgan, and many great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. William is also survived by his sister, Marleisa Sayles, and brothers, Ronnie, Marty, Monty, and Tony Morgan; their spouses and families, as well as many more friends and neighbors.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until Noon on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Bass Chapel Cemetery in Strafford, Missouri.
