Shirley Mae Carder 78, Springfield passed away Thursday September 28, 2017 in her home.

Shirley was born October 19, 1938 in Springfield, Missouri to Raymond and Verble (Cantrell) Smith. She loved the Lord and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Shirley was a great cook and made the best biscuits & gravy and macaroni & cheese.

She is survived by her husband Arvel Fred Carder; her children Connie Lemon (Ron), Rebecca Kaus, Barbara Carder and Sharon Masterson (Jeff); 14 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren; her brother Raymond Smith, Jr (Lynn).; her sisters Janet Coply (Jim) and Vella Spivey (Gary) and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday October 2, 2017 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut Street with Pastor Jim Copley officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service in the chapel.
