Kenneth "Kenny Racer" W. Smith age 82, passed away in his home on the morning of Tuesday September 5th, 2017 in Springfield, MO.

Kenneth "Kenny Racer" Smith enjoyed spending time with family and loved ones. He was an avid race car driver, and was inducted into the Racing Legends Hall of Fame in 2010. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR, with Bill Elliott being his favorite NASCAR driver.

He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary Fern Smith of Springfield, sister Mary Smith and beloved companion Helen of Springfield.

He is survived by his siblings Richard Smith, Jerry Smith, Shirley Ash, Edward Smith, Eddie Ray Smith, Terri Calvert, children Andrew Smith, Susan Learn, Shirley Crouch, Steven Fears, Steve Elliott, Connie Elliott, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri. Burial will follow at Johns Chapel Cemetery in Bois D'Arc, Missouri.
