Obituary for Katherine S. Keene

Katherine S.  Keene
Katherine Sue Keene age, 62 passed away August 19th, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

Katherine was born December 17th, 1954 in Stockton, California, the daughter of Cloye Dot Lea and Cherria Laverne (Cherry) Lea.

"A shining star" since December 17, 1954. Kathy was a mother to all she knew. Welcoming everyone into her home, caring and raising them as if her own. To her you were family and in her home you would always have love, meals, beds, support and hugs.

Her pride was her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and most of all her loving husband Cecil Keene.
Together they exemplified love, partnership, sacrifice and all things needed to build an amazing relationship.

May her smile and laughter live on in our hearts and memories.

We will miss you so much.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Cecil Lee Keene of the home; two daughters, Cherria Boyd of Springfield, Missouri, Sara Henderson and her husband Eric of Springfield, Missouri; one son, Jason Keene and his wife Katie of Overland Park, Kansas; grandchildren, Michael and partner Devan, Crissy, Benjamin, Jenny, Claire, Gracie and Ryleigh; one great grandson, Karson; her brothers and sisters, Debbie Shinn of Owasso, Oklahoma, Mike Lea and is wife Debbie of Springfield, Missouri, Paul Lea and his wife Kathie of Willard, Missouri, Cloye, Jr. Lea and his wife Rita of Nixa, Missouri, Randy Lea and his wife Peggy of Willard, Missouri, Cindy Roach and her husband Larry of Clover, South Carolina; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and pets.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Victory Life Church, 303 W. Center Street in Rogersville, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Victory Life Church, 303 W. Center Street in Rogersville, Missouri.
