Mrs. Anis Emily Gunner, age 79, of Battlefield, Missouri passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at her home.

She was born September 13, 1937 in Eminence, Missouri, the daughter of Thoris Baltz and Madeline (Ward) Baltz.

Anis was a secretary to an Alcohol & Beverage Company in Little Rock, Arkansas. Returning from Arkansas, she then became secretary to Homer Bowman at Southwest Missouri State University. Anis went on to become the first full time office manager for Camp Kanakuk in Branson, Missouri. Anis and her husband Larry owned and operated Weaver’s Furniture Store in Hollister, Missouri for 24 years.

Anis was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and was coordinator for the Hospitality Team at the church.
Her hobby was to shop. She loved to look for those special items that sparked her interest.

A celebration of life will be held at Noon on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Wesley United Methodist Church with Pastor Scott Bailey-Kirk officiating.
A time of visitation will follow the Celebration of Life service in the church commons area.

A private burial will take place at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens in Springfield, Missouri.
