Melvin Charles Meads, Sr., age 66, of Springfield, Missouri passed away at 4:05pm on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Cox South Medical Center.
Melvin was born on July 1, 1950 to Melvin O. Meads and Florance “Dickson) Meads in Humansville, Missouri.
Melvin attended Holden Schools. He married Saundra Tiller. Melvin worked as a heavy-duty equipment operator as a truck driver.
Melvin loved going hunting and fishing with his kids and grandkids. He loved his friends and family and had a big heart helping them when he was able. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Melvin is survived by his kids, Samantha Bryant (Carl) Tiller, Melvin Meads, Jr. (Pete), Wilbert & Nancy Meads, Angel & Rusty Cantrell, Elizabeth & Austin Butts; 15 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one special lady Carol (Mama Carol).
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Florance Meads; and his late wife, Saundra Tiller.
A visitation will be held from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield, Missouri.
