Josephine Alsup, 62, Springfield, Missouri passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017. She was born March 19, 1955, in Decatur, Illinois to John and Helen Alsup. Josephine taught elementary education for fourteen years. She was avid reader, enjoyed working crossword puzzles, cross stitch and card games.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Martha Alsup and Elizabeth Alsup. She is survived by two daughters Michelle and Ellen Meystedt, one brother John “Jack” Alsup, three sisters Susan Alsup Rogers, Carol Alsup Fisch and Margaret Alsup Tiffin.

We invite everyone to bring an orchid to carry and take home in honor of Josephine’s favorite flower.

A group rate is available at the Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel (314-429-1100) after Tuesday afternoon under the name “Meystedt”.

Following the service, we invite everyone to the Three Kings Public House to eat, drink, and enjoy a few games of Shang Hai Rummy.
