Obituary for David Alan Williams

David Alan  Williams
David Williams, died unexpectedly in his home on April 9, 2017 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 33.

David is survived by his parents, Linda and Tony Mendoza of Springfield; his brothers, Justin Plemmons of Wichita Falls, Texas, Steven “Shawn” Plemmons, Dustin Mendoza, and Marc Mendoza all of Springfield, Missouri; “Grandma” Sharron Phillips of Springfield, Missouri; aunts and uncles, Eddie Phillips of Marshfield, Missouri, Toni Henson of Springfield, Missouri, Melissa “Aunta” Spurlock and her husband Howard “Uncle Howie” Spurlock of Walnut Grove, Missouri, and Christine “Auntine” Williams and her husband Matt Williams of Strafford, Missouri. He is also survived by many cousins.

“Grandpa” David Phillips, Uncle “D” Dennis Henson, and three step-children Kelsey, Devin, and Alexis Watson preceded him in death.

David was born on January 30, 1984 in Springfield, Missouri a son of Linda (Phillips). He graduated from Hillcrest High School in 2002.

He picked up the trade of mechanic and wood worker over his lifetime. He loved to work on cars and was always up for the challenge of building or fixing anything from cars to remodeling his home. He loved to ride the trails with Uncle Howie, hunt, fish, play video games, find unique glass works for Aunta, and just hang out. David was a generous, witty, caring, and stubborn individual that is loved dearly and will be deeply missed.

There will be a memorial service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Temple Baptist Church, 845 S. Fort, Springfield, Missouri 65806 with a reception to follow at the church. Pastor Michael Johnson will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate David’s life.

Arrangements are under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri.
