Obituary for David Neal Coleman

David Neal Coleman, age 56, went home to be with the Lord after a short illness on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, in Springfield.

He was born on Dec. 3, 1960, in Augsburg, Germany, the son of Billy Gene Coleman and Barbara (Byrd) Rogers. He was preceded in death by his father, his mother, and a sister, Leslie Coleman.

David was tender-hearted, caring, generous, and loving. He loved his family unconditionally, and their devotion to him is a testament to this. He also loved the outdoors, and in the summer months, was known to kayak the lakes and streams of the Ozarks. He also loved animals, and his dogs, especially Abbie, were considered part of the family.

David is survived by the following — son Joseph Coleman and wife, Kasandra, and their son, Elliott Coleman, all of Springfield, Missouri; son Nicholas Coleman and fiancé, Jennifer Snavley, and their two children, all of Forsyth, Missouri; stepson Zachary Long and wife, Natalie, of Stanley, North Dakota; brothers, Curt Coleman and William Coleman; and sister, Terri Molineaux.
