Obituary for Joseph J. Yoker, II

Joseph J.  Yoker, II
Joseph John Yoker, II, 72, of Springfield, passed away at 11:42 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 in his home. He was born February 10, 1944 in Kansas City, Kansas to Joseph and Ellen (Kelsey) Yoker. Joseph was a Veteran of the Coast Guard, and worked for Southwestern Bell. He enjoyed camping, wood carving and was a wine enthusiast.
Joseph was preceded in death by his daughter, Jolinda Marie Yoker. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; a grandson, Ian Swift; two brothers, Paul Yoker (Marilyn) of Overland Park, KS and Hal Yoker (Virgie) of Springfield.
Memorial Mass will be at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Committal service with military honors will follow at 11 a.m. in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
