Obituary for Elbert Lee Blades
Elbert Lee Blades, age 75 of Springfield, Missouri passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Brookhaven Nursing and Rehab in Springfield.
He was born April 5, 1941 in Republic, Missouri a son of Elbert Haven and Lucy (Sparkman) Blades.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances “Kathy” (Parsons) Blades; and three brothers, Robert, Steven and Raymond Blades.
Elbert was in the construction business and also had his own automobile repair shop. He enjoyed woodworking and building furniture.
Survivors are his sisters, Erma Daniels and Donna Bonvillin; ten children; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Wade Chapel Cemetery in Republic with Brother Joe Campbell officiating.
Pallbearers are Kevin Yates, Kevin Butler, Dakota Eckley, Eric Everett, Jessee Everett, and Logan Everett. Honorary pallbearers are Dwight Arnall, Tim Lakey and Joey Phelps.
Service and arrangements are under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield.
