Condolence: Go rest high on that mountain Dennis. So sorry that I didn't keep in closer touch. We had some good times and lots of good conversations when we worked together.

Condolence: Dennis was in my first 6th grade class when I started teaching. He was a special person. He joined my Boy Scout troop and we had many enjoyable camping trips. He loved to fish. A most memorable experience was when he took my children, my wife, and me fishing in Newport, Oregon. He showed my children how to catch bait and catch fish. How good the catch tasted when we cooked it. Dennis always called me each Christmas to let me know how he was doing. When Dennis was younger he was my student but as he grew older we were lifelong friends.

Dear Jane, Doug and Family,
I am writing this note to convey my thoughts of Dennis. I grieve with you also through my loss of loved ones as you. I cry out to Him with a few heartfelt words from deep within. I know that He understands and loves me deeply. I find in those times of life my greatest comfort is in Him. Reading the Word and the Psalms have brought me through some tough times. These times have been hard but He is growing me closer to himself and has shown me the hope that is in Him through the deepest wounds of life and loss. Those losses have brought me into your McGarity Family and I know that.
I am happy that I had the opportunity to know Dennis. There were those two times at your place a few years ago. He shared with me his call from Jesus and how it was changing his life. We had the opportunity to spend time together and share about our hope in Christ and how He was working in our lives. There was such purpose for those brief times some years ago. I was so happy for Dennis (and myself) that we could share these things together.
We talked about life and hope for the future. He invited me to his cabin out east there. We talked about our love for music and his new guitar. I knew Dennis was in ill health then as he shared that with me. There is a hope we shared that was given to us by the Lord Jesus. That overwhelming hope was and is beyond our understanding but we have joy in accepting it.
There is a day coming soon when eternity will be so different than those temporal things that have tried to consume our spirit here. We who know Jesus will be made perfect and will be with Him and those we have known and loved here FOREVER. I can’t comprehend it all but my Bible tells me how it will be.
I will see my wonderful grandparents, my folks, my wife Lucinda, our first son William and those who I have loved here who know Jesus in that wonderful day. I will meet your mom for the first time even though I know much of here through Barbara. I will also see Dennis and all those folks who Jesus has reached out to in this life.
I have read in my Bible that there is a day coming when we will have shed our last tears. That hope is in Jesus and the Word. We will be with Jesus forever in that place of magnificence with those we love……and FOREVER.
Love forever,
Bruce

Condolence: So sad to hear of Dennis passing, but also a glorious moment knowing God has finally ended the suffering! Dennis was a wonderful guy to those who loved him, Fisherman, neighbor, comedian, animal lover, hardest worker I've ever met, great friend, number one uncle and least of all, number one son, and just the kind of guy everyone wants for their best friend. Thirty years of Dennis as my best friend, I could have easily endured many more! He was always the there for hos family and friends, no matter what the cost to him or time it will take. He loved his family more than anyone could know, especially his Mother, such a wonderful hard working caring person that only Dennis could have come from.
My wife Linda & I have been so blessed to have Dennis and his family in our lives. Dennis' birthday was on the 8th, mine the 10th and Linda the 13th of February. There were very few years we did not celebrate together, it was so awesome!
Tears a running, glasses fogged and the other drip continues. The mention of his name will always choke me up. Headed for a hanky. Goodbye Brother Dennis--Thanks for everything & I will always love you.
