Johnse Edgar  Laymon
Johnse E. Laymon, age 72, died of long-term illness on June 8, 2016, in Springfield, MO.

Johnse is survived by his wife Robin (Strohl) Laymon, of 49 years; his daughter, Summer Rose Laymon, age 8; his brother Bobby, and wife, Edna Laymon, of Niangua, Missouri; and his sister Gloria, and husband, Mike Gillies, of Hector Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his brother, Joe Laymon, of Hector, Arkansas; and his sister, Christine, and husband, Duel Townsend, of Searcy, Arkansas.

Johnse was born on March 5, 1944 in Hector, Arkansas, to parents James and Artie Laymon. He graduated from Hector High School in 1962.

In 1970, he moved to Springfield, Missouri and became self-employed. In 1986, Johnse and Robin moved to Lebanon, Missouri to start their janitorial business.

Johnse was a great family man and a loving father. He married Robin in 1967 and the couple adopted their daughter, Summer, in 2007. Johnse dedicated his life as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1962. As an active witness, he was deeply involved in sharing the promises of the Bible for 54 years. Johnse enjoyed preaching the good news, fishing, and beekeeping. His family and friends will always remember him as a fun-loving person. He had many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly for the role he played in their lives.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00PM on Saturday, June 11, at Lebanon Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Johnse’s life. The family would like to thank all family and friends for their love and support.
