Obituary for Iolanda Paganelli (Paganelli)

Iolanda Paganelli (Paganelli)
Iolanda Paganelli, who lived in Springfield, MO, since 2012, transitioned peacefully to heavenly life on May 21, 2016. She is survived by her son Maurizio Sabini, daughter-in-law Margaret, and grandchildren Cherie and Robby.
Iolanda (Iole) was born to Oreste and Maria (Fiori) Paganelli in Poggio Berni (Rimini), Italy, on September 28, 1927. She married her first love, the late Roberto Sabini (1921-1985), after patiently waiting for his return from WWII, on October 29,1950. She has been a beloved, loving and wonderful wife and mother.
Iolanda went through the joys and challenges of life always with an unwavering faith in the Lord and a true devotion to the Virgin Mary. She married faith with love, grace, strength and determination.
Already at a young age, she helped her family, by working inside and outside the household, go through the difficult times of the WWII era, also helping her parents raise her two young siblings Sauro and Laura.

“Nonna” (Italian for “Grandmother,” as Iolanda was called by her grandchildren, family and friends) had “golden hands” for anything she decided to make, from food to clothes and all sorts of decorations, always of amazing quality with very little means at her disposal. A true extrovert, she loved to spend time with family and friends and she was always able to create a cheerful, friendly, hospitable and joyful atmosphere at her house or wherever she would bless people with her presence.
More importantly, Iolanda had a gift to create around her harmony, balance and peace. It was a gift that her family had the fortune to treasure, and that will bless, as her true legacy, the next generations of her family.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roberto, her sister Rossana, and her parents, Oreste and Maria.

Iolanda’s final resting place will be in the Municipal Cemetery in Poggio Berni (Rimini), Italy.
